Background
I am a wood scientist with research experience in the field of wood quality characterization and wood processing. The wood quality research involves understanding the wood quality variability in fast grown plantation timbers and developing fast and reliable methods for wood quality evaluations. Growth stresses, wood stiffness, stability and drying characteristics are the major focus for wood quality. I am also interested in research looking at developing wood/bamboo thermoplastic composites and their physical and mechanical properties characterization.
Research Interests
- Growth stresses in trees
- Wood quality characterisation
