Background

I am a forest economist who has previously worked at the New Zealand Forest Research Institute conducting and managing economics research, and for forestry companies in business development and marketing roles, as well as in senior management in the banking industry.

My teaching incorporates both my forest economics research background, and my commercial experience; the objective is to ensure that our graduates students have a strong technical foundation in forest economics, and an ability to apply and communicate this knowledge.

I am developing a research programme in the areas of interest described below, and am interested in research projects that have an industry focus as well as those which are oriented towards forest policy.
