Postgraduate students

Horacio Bown, PhD student, is working on the fertility modifier of model 3PG, with Dr Peter Clinton of Forest Research (FR) and Prof. Sands as co-supervisors. It's a huge area, and he's proposing some greenhouse work linked to field evaluation in a nationwide series of plots established by FR. His theme is the extension of a nutrient budget approach.

Tim McDonald, Masters student, who is modelling the germination of /Buddleia davidii/ and building yield models so that we can construct a population dynamics model for the weed.

Rajesh Sharma, PhD student, is evaluating options for modelling and deployment of clones. His work will also address the issue of clonal selection.

Gofred Sialumba, PhD student, is studying impacts of fertilisation and weed control on crop productivity and wood quality.

Branco Zoric, Masters student, is modelling at impacts of tending on wood quality.
