Conjoint Degree Programmes

For those students with a desire to combine studies in Forestry with studies in Commerce or Science, a concurrent degree programme is possible. Under this programme, it is possible for a student to graduate with two degrees in a much shorter time compared to doing the degrees separately. For example, it is possible to complete the B.For.Sc. and B.Com. in five years.

Students interested in the concurrent degree programme should write to the Dean of Engineering and Forestry for more information.

The Bachelor of Engineering (Forestry)

The B.E.(Forestry) degree comprises courses drawn from the School of Engineering and the School of Forestry. The forest industry has been enthusiastic about the need for this degree, and the Institute of Professional Engineers of New Zealand will recognise gradutes as members of that Institution and as Registered Engineers.

Further details of this degree may be obtained by writing to:
The Dean of Engineering and Forestry, College of Engineering, University of Canterbury, or by consulting the School of Engineering Prospectus.
